The 18-hole course, located near the N.C. 55 bypass, is a Nicklaus Design Group creation, a firm named after golf great Jack Nicklaus that has planned hundreds of elite golf courses worldwide.   Twelve Oaks Golf Course stretches to 7,000-plus yards and accommodates golf players of all skill levels with a plethora of “risk vs. reward” shots.  There is a good amount of water to consider on several holes, challenging the higher skilled player with a risky “go for broke” shot while at the same time, retaining a safer shot for those that perfer to play it a little safer. Twelve Oaks golf course has an abundance of natural beauty as well, with undulating fairways and stunning wetland vegetation framing several holes.
